Atelier: Pushing, Swinging, Playing

With Renae Shadler & Camille Lacadée

In the Atelier, a fantastical world emerges from large pieces of fabric, movement, and sound. The materials respond to touch and movement, constantly transforming and evolving.

Children are invited to explore this world through play, to shape it with their own ideas, and to be surprised by what unfolds. Together, we observe what happens when children follow their curiosity, engage with materials, movement, and one another, and develop their own unique dance.

The workshop is part of Offensive Tanz and is developed by choreographer Renae Shadler and set designer Camille Lacadée.

Renae Shadler is an Australian choreographer and dancer based in Berlin. Her work has been presented internationally, including at the PuSh Festival (Canada), Tanzplattform Deutschland, Tanz im August, Radialsystem (Germany), and New Baltic Dance (Lithuania), among others. Her choreographic practice, Worlding, explores the relationships between bodies and their environments.

Camille Lacadée is a Berlin-based set and costume designer and trained architect working in the fields of performance and installation.
