BOKS (1½+)

Theater with dance |

De Spiegel (Belgium) |

A small space.
A longing for the other.
Clashing. Exploding.
Tension fills the box.
Resentful jostling.
Animated laughter.

BOKS tells about searching for each other, getting to know each other and togetherness. Two people find themselves stuck in a confined space, a box. They can’t get away from each other. There is confusion, fear and a sense of unfamiliarity. They argue, they try to escape – and gradually, uneasiness turns into infectious laughter.
BOKS is a physical production with an original, composed soundscape that is created live.

De Spiegel makes transdisciplinary art for the very young. Through music, theatre, images, objects, movement and technology, they invite the audience to explore new worlds, see, listen and play differently. De Spiegel stimulates the curiosity, wonder and sense of adventure of both children and adults through a universal, sensory language. BOKS is De Spiegel's first dance production. In 2017, De Spiegel was part of the FRATZ program with CABAN, a music and sound installation for babies.
